Obligatory New Year's Post
Jan. 1st, 2005 12:23 amSo it's 2005 now. w00t.
I don't make resolutions, 'cause I never keep them, but I wonder if things will change much this year...For some reason, it kind of feels like it...
Rich got his drivers license today...which means he can drive himself if he wants to go somewhere. ^^ And I did something I never thought I'd do (well, not until I was old)...I dyed my hair. Granted, it was a subtle change...my hair's naturally light brown, and it's now slightly darker with a reddish tint. Madre really likes it...she says the bit of color really makes a difference (I'm a brunette, with brown eyes, and I'm as pale as a sheet. I have no color normally. =P). I think I like it, as well. We got the most temporary dye they had; it'll wash out in 6-12 shampoos. I think I'll just live with it until it comes out (or nearly does), then decide if I want to dye it back, with more permanent dye this time.
...I still can't believe I actually dyed my hair. XD Normally I hate stuff like that...though, my hair has always been my one concession to vanity. Though, usually in very simple terms. I like it long, and as of the last few years, permed. And now, who knows...I may have to add 'colored' to that list. ^^;;;
Well, I think I'll go to bed now. I'm somewhat tired...which is due in part to having spent 5 1/2 mind-numbingly boring hours at work tonight. Apparently most everyone had better things to do on New Year's Eve than to shop at Target. =P Though, to be fair, we don't sell alcohol. If we did, I bet we'd have been busier. Also, there was the fact that they had the heat cranked on so high, both the employees and the guests were beginning to suspect that someone was trying to roast us alive. =P Heat tends to make one lethargic, and we had enough heat to subdue an army platoon. So, I am tired...Off to bed, I go.
Well, I hope everyone has a Happy New Year. Have fun, be safe, and enjoy!
