Well, Today Was...
Nov. 2nd, 2005 10:58 pm...interesting. =P
I'm about half-sick. I dunno if it's just allergies, or if I'm coming down with something, but either way, it's really annoying. So going to class and work today was fun. Although, my English professor called the class on account of heat (again!), which was cool. I tried to get some work done on my CS lab, but I don't think I really made much progress. =P Though, after today's class, I might be able to try again.
Then, there was work. For the first part of it, we were pretty slow; it was boring. Oh, and I, being the graceful creature that I am, managed to whack myself in the eye with a clothes hanger. >_> Yeah. I was pulling a jacket off the hanger and I caught myself right in my right eye. Ouch. That hurt. =P So, I was making funny faces at my guests for a little while, squinting with that eye as I was.
Though, on the upside, I bought a load of junk food after work; our Halloween candy was on sale, plus there were a few other things that I wanted. >_> So, yeah. Chocolate is always a nice way to make someone feel better. <3
And Madre showed that sometimes she can rival Roy Mustang with her skill at barbecuing things. She was making me a quesadilla for a snack, and well...first, she turned the heat on the wrong burner of the stove, which melted the two burner-covers that were sitting on it. Let me tell you, burnt plastic is not a nice smell. =P Then, when she was cooking it, she apparently got the heat turned up too high. That thing was nicely blackened. *Snicker* But, to be fair, our stove's really wonky. We need a new one. So, the second one wasn't really her fault. But, it was still kinda funny.
And I got my next batch of Netflix disks today; maybe I can watch some of them tomorrow. Since Madre made me an appointment with the doctor (which is quite lucky, seeing as she didn't even know that I was sickly today; just that I'd been a bit so yesterday), I'll not be going to class tomorrow. Which also means that I can sleep in. Joy. <3 Well, I'm off. I still need to wash my hair before I go to bed. Ja ne~
