Once you are tagged you MUST write an entry about 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly.
1. My elbows are double-jointed. I can turn my arm such that if I rest my palm on the table, the underside of my elbow faces up. (If that makes any sense. ^^;;) I never thought this was particularly strange, but I've had people boggle at me when I do it. So, I guess it's odd. =D
2. I wear one of those Medic-Alert necklaces; I have since junior high or so. It's for my penicillin allergy. Apparently, if I take it, my throat swells up and I can't breathe. =P I can't remember when this happened; I was really little. But it freaked my mother out. ^^;; So, I wear the necklace, just in case.
3. Sometimes, when I'm bored (like when I'm sitting in class), I'll scribble random nonsense in Japanese in the margins of my notes. Kanji practice, random words, sentences of questionable grammar...whatever I'm thinking of (that I know how to translate). Similarly, sometimes I'll catch myself thinking snippets of Japanese at work. Like, sometimes I'll go to count something and my brain just goes, "一,二、三、四、五、六。。。" This is particularly strange, given that I haven't been able to study Japanese for a while. =P Guess it sticks with you, huh? ^^;;
4. Sometimes I think that my mind works faster than my mouth does. Honestly...I end up trying to talk too fast, and end up getting all tangled up. Likewise with reading aloud. I read really fast, but I can't talk that quickly without stumbling a lot. And this all happens way more often than I'd like. =P I probably sound rather ridiculous, but I can't help it.
5. My hair's fairly long. (Close to waist length) I almost always wear it up (in a ponytail, a clip, etc). I'm just not very comfortable with it down; I have to be in the mood for it, kinda. But I'd never dream of cutting it short.
6. I hate shopping for clothes, of any sort. Mainly because, almost without fail, no matter what type of clothing I need (shirt, pants, shoes, etc), I'll have to try a ridiculous number of them before I find anything to fit. I'm tall, so it's hard finding pants that are long enough. I'm not skin-and-bones thin, so finding shirts is annoying. My feet are rather large (for a lady), and narrow, so shoe shopping sucks. Etc, etc. The funny thing is...I don't look horribly out of proportion, or anything. Apparently, I just break a lot of societal clothing size norms. =P
Hmm. I'll tag
jadedsilk,
jenayax,
nanashi_o, and
ramychan. Have fun, guys!
