wildvision: (Iroh - O-Tea-P)
Wow, two teas in one day. Go me! XD After that disappointing cup of chai I had earlier, I really wanted to try something else. Thankfully, I had better luck this time. <3 Also, I'd like to note that this was my first time trying an oolong tea. Yay!

Jasmine #5
Vendor: Adagio
Type: Oolong tea (Light)
Amount of leaf: 5 tsp
Amount of water: Approx. 16 oz.
Water temp: 180 degrees
Steep time: 3 minutes
Additions: Sugar

Thoughts:

I was fairly pleased with how this one turned out. First off, the fragrance was lovely. I love the smell of jasmine. <3 The flavor was somewhat mild, and light. The jasmine flavor was rather subtle, which I somewhat expected. But I rather liked it, I think. I'm not sure if I'd want to try upping the leaf amount next time, to see if I could get it stronger...I do tend to prefer stronger tea, but I get the feeling that this is one of those teas that's just light. And that, no matter what I do to it, it probably won't ever be terribly strong. (Not to mention, since it's a floral flavor, it might not even taste good if it's really strong.) So I may try upping the leaf amount next time, or not. If so, it won't be by much. But I may just stick with these parameters. We'll see. ^^;;

...Damn it, now I'm hungry again. Time for a snack~
