Cars and Books~
Aug. 4th, 2012 04:37 amWell, I got my windshield replaced on Thursday. So that makes me feel better. =) And the best part is, my insurance covered it! So I only had to pay the deductible, which was $50. That's so much less than I was expecting to have to pay, so I'm kind of thrilled. <3
Also, I got to read a couple of good new books this week. Lady of Devices and Her Own Devices, by Shelley Adina. It's a steampunk series, which is new for me. I was certainly aware of the genre, but I'd never read any. An H.G. Wells-centric episode of Warehouse 13 got me a bit interested, and these books were cheap, so I decided to give it a go.
And I quite liked them. Although, I don't know how much of that is from the setting/genre and how much is just that I love the main character. But then, any book with a tough, smart female lead who doesn't take crap from anyone is something that I'll probably enjoy. XD Now, I just have to wait (impatiently!) for the next book to come out.
And now it's time to raid the kitchen, I think...
