I was checking my email earlier, and I found a message from one of the mods at the Starbucks website. It said that they were launching their new one-cup brewing system, and they wanted to give me one, if I'd send them my address.

Now, obviously, I was skeptical. I've been a regular on the forum part of the site, and I know they've given away product to frequent posters before...but it's generally been like, a pack of Via or a bag of coffee. Nothing expensive, y'know? (And according to the post, this machine retails for something like $200.) So, I found the post announcing the new machine and left a comment, asking for a mod to confirm that the message was legit. I figured it was a typo or something; that they were offering a box of pods for the new machine, or something. (Or that it was fake, entirely.)

A short while later, I got another email from a mod, saying that she'd seen my comment and yes, it was legit. They had a few machines to give away, and I was on the list. So, I gave her my address. =D

...I just can't get over this. I mean, how often does this happen? Just, out of the blue, a company says, "Hey, we'd like to give you a $200 coffee maker, for free. Just because."

So, yeah. I'm kind of thrilled right now. XD
