Oh, thank God. Obama was re-elected. My country isn't completely full of morons, after all! =D
According to this map I found, Obama won pretty handily, too. <3 He had nearly 100 more electoral votes and he won the popular vote, too. I am so freaking relieved. Like, weak-kneed, over here. I kinda thought Obama would win, but I was so scared of what'd happen if we actually elected Romney. *Shudder* I kept poking at a bunch of news sites all evening at work...the waiting was brutal, seriously. But it was all worth it, to see those big headlines calling the race for Obama. <3
And not only did Obama win, but at least two of the more vocal anti-choice fuckheads that were running (Akin and Mourdock) lost to their Democratic opponents! Neither one was in my state, so I couldn't help vote them out, but it still made me happy. Maybe now, these psycho anti-choicers will back the fuck off. Yeah, yeah, wishful thinking, I know...
I am so, so glad this election season is over. I swear...it was just toxic. I know that politics suck, and it's always a circus come election time, but good grief. I swear, I think it was worse this time than it was in either of the other presidential elections I voted in. So, I am very much ready for it to be over. No more obnoxious political ads. No more stupid yard signs. No more ignorant, hateful things said by these fuckwit Republicans. (Yeah, I know, they'll come back. But hopefully they'll shut up for a while, anyway.)
Now, it's time for some dinner, and a little TV. Then off to bed. I should sleep much better tonight!
