I just got an email from Amazon, saying I've received a credit to my account, due to the settlement in the Apple antitrust lawsuit.
I remember hearing about that, years ago...something to do with price fixing, I think? Conspiring to raise prices? Something like that. Honestly, I'd completely forgotten about it. But apparently, they're finally paying out a settlement, and I benefit, due to having bought e-books during that time frame.
I got something like 90 bucks. Seriously! That'll buy quite a few new e-books. =D I'm not sure if I have to use it for that, or if it's unrestricted, but hell, let's face it. Even if I can buy whatever I want...I'll probably still spend it on e-books. XD
I'll have to go and look through my books-to-purchase list and see what I'd like to get. The email said the credit would expire in a year, so I can't just hold onto it. That's what I tend to do with gift cards; just keep it until a new book comes out that I want. Or until I decide on an existing book or series to purchase. But I don't know that any of the authors I follow will be publishing anything within the next year. So, I may just go ahead and spend it. Let's see...I still don't have all the Amelia Peabody books on my Kindle...maybe that would be a good choice. I could get quite a few this way. Hmm. Decisions, decisions!
