The Other Side Of Life
I just got back from the concert...and all I have to say is wow...Just...Wow. =D
Dad and I ate at the Olive Garden, like we usually do when we go to a concert in St. Louis. Food was good, as always. Plus, riding the Metro is kind of fun. ^^ I'm sure it's just the novelty of it, but it's neat all the same. We got there a bit early, but not too much. So we had time to get settled in, but not really enough time to get bored waiting. ^^
Did I mention that we had front row seats? Until tonight, I'd never had seats that good! Yeah; my Dad rocks so freaking much. We sat, maybe, 10 feet from where John Lodge was standing. <3
I never used to think it mattered how close you were; as long as you could hear the music, and hopefully see fairly well. Well, I stand corrected. Being up front is so, so much better~! The guys were all pretty good at making eye contact with the audience, which is cool. Especially John; dude, that's the stuff that makes fangirls squeal. <3
Oh, and it's official. John Lodge and Justin Hayward are totally hot, even if it's in a way-too-old-for-me kind of way. =D But then, I think most girls will agree; guys with guitars are hot. And singers are hot. So...double whammy. =D
The show was awesome, as I expected. They played a lot of my favorites, so Dad and I spent a lot of time on our feet; but then, singing, dancing, and clapping is half the fun of going to a concert. =D We each got a shirt (actually, Dad got two), and I got a poster. Plus, a lady in the audience was handing out those glowy bracelets, so we got a couple of those, too. XD
So, in short, I had a wonderful time, and hope that we can go again sometime. =D
Also, on the HP front, I finished Order of the Phoenix today, so I'll start on Half-Blood Prince tomorrow. I shouldn't have any problem finishing it by Friday/Saturday. So, bring on Deathly Hallows! =D
