wildvision | More Trek~

Since I'd been having a little trouble getting into TOS, my mother (who's a major Trekkie, and who started with TOS) suggested that I watch the movies. I'd complained about the writing, primarily, and she said that the movies were better in that respect. So, I Netflix'd the first three movies and we watched them this weekend.

And I gotta say...she was right. I really enjoyed them all. (Isn't there supposed to be a rule about odd numbered Trek movies? Or something like that? ^^;;) I've got the next three at the top of my queue, so I'll get them next. I'm kinda hoping that after I've watched all the movies, I'll be able to go back to trying the series itself and have better results.

One of my main complaints with the part of TOS that I've seen was that the character development was poor, and they really didn't make me care about anyone...Well, I already liked Scotty, but that's only because I always and without fail love the Chief Engineer of every Star Trek series. Ever. XD So, I'm hoping that I'll come to love the cast via the movies (and I'll say, it's looking good at this point!), and then the series itself will be more enjoyable to me.

So, we'll see, I guess.

Dude, I seriously need a Star Trek icon...
