GA Finale
I just watched the season finale of Grey's Anatomy, and man...I'm kind of having a fangirl spaz moment, here.
-- I really liked Meredith and Cristina in this episode. I'm a sucker for their friendship, and we got to see that here.
-- Okay, Cristina commenting on all the crazy shit that's happened to them over the years? Made me crack up. Seriously. "Seattle Grace Mercy Death"! XD
-- Damn. I knew that they were going to kill off one of the characters, but I wasn't expecting Lexie. Honestly, I half-way expected it to be April. With the way she's been acting, and all the stuff that's gone wrong for her lately, it would have been plausible for her to suicide.
-- I'm a little torn on it, honestly. I mean...I'd rather they kill off Lexie than say, Meredith or Cristina. But still...I liked Lexie! I'll admit, I found her annoying in the beginning, but she really grew on me. So I'm sad to see her go.
-- That scene with her and Mark, though. Man. So sweet and sad! The actors really did a good job with it.
-- And from the looks of it, everyone's pretty messed up. I'm still worried about some of them...I'm not sure who all renewed their contracts, so I don't know who might still die. Let's see...I think that Mark and Arizona are the only two on the plane that I haven't heard if they've renewed or not. And they both look kinda bad. I really hope they don't kill either of them. =(
-- Cristina stitching Derek's arm...that was cool. Kinda reminded me of some of the earlier seasons; seems like there was more MacGuyver-type medicine back then.
-- Even putting aside who might die...there's plenty to worry about, still. Everyone's hurt pretty badly, and most are emotionally traumatized, as well. Will they all be able to go back to work? Will everyone heal and be okay eventually?
-- I have to say, the scenes in the hospital were a little weird, cut with the scenes from the crash. It's the contrast, I think.
-- I liked Alex's call to Arizona. I still hope he stays, but him thanking Arizona and saying that he's only something because Arizona made him something...it was sweet. A bit awkward and bumbling, but that's Alex. <3
-- I kind of wanted to hug Teddy in this episode. She basically apologized to Owen for how she'd been acting since Henry's death, and recognized that he'd been a good friend to her. She said that she knew how broken he was, and that she wasn't going anywhere when he needed her. I always really liked their friendship; I was sad to see it strained as it was, so I really like the idea of them reconciling.
-- And then Owen had to go and spoil it by firing her. =/ I swear, I wanted to kick him. I get why he did it, but still. Even if he wanted to push her away (whether for her own sake, or because he doesn't want her staying out of pity), he could have done it a lot better. They did hug it out at the end, though. So I think they'll still be friends. Makes me wonder if Teddy's really leaving, though. It sure looks like it...and that would arguably give Cristina another reason to stay in Seattle. If Teddy leaves, she stands a good chance of getting Head of Cardio. Which would be cool, but still. I like Teddy! I don't want her to go.
-- I was really surprised that no one at the hospital even realized that the others were missing until the end of the episode. And even then, not quite. We see Owen listening to his messages, which contain several from the hospital that they were supposed to be visiting, but I'm not sure if he actually realized it yet.
-- Yeah, so this is going to drive me nuts this summer. Who all is going to live? Who will stay at Seattle Grace? Will Cristina and Owen reconcile, or divorce? (Not sure what I want to happen, there.) How will Mark handle Lexie's death? What's going to happen to April?
*Flails* So, yeah. It's going to really, really suck having to wait until the fall for the next episode!
