wildvision: (Riku - My fears)
Well, I finished Episode 1 tonight.

Mild spoilers )

I'll get started on Episode 2 on Monday, I suppose. <3 Should be fun.
wildvision: (Iroh - O-Tea-P)
My package from Adagio arrived earlier this week, but I'm just now having time to get into it. I thought I'd keep a bit of a diary of my tea-trying experiences. It might make it easier to compare notes later, y'know? Which could be useful. <3

IngenuiTEA
Vendor: Adagio
Type: Teapot

Thoughts:

First off, I have to say that the IngenuiTEA is just about the neatest little toy I've ever seen. It's very easy to use, and by a bit of good luck, it fits one of my favorite mugs perfectly. I'm rather delighted at just how simple it is...the thought that it was difficult, or too complicated/messy/annoying is the main reason I'd not tried full leaf tea until now. But with the IngenuiTEA, it's just as easy to make as bagged tea. <3

Out of the teas I received with this order, I decided to start with the Earl Grey Bravo. I've been an Earl Grey fan for a while now, and I thought it best to start out with something I was familiar with.

Earl Grey Bravo
Vendor: Adagio
Type: Black tea
Amount of leaf: 2 tsp
Amount of water: Approx. 16 oz.
Water temp: Boiling
Steep time: 5 minutes
Additions: Sugar

Thoughts:

This Earl Grey rather reminded me of the one by Twinings. It has a milder, more subtle bergamot flavor than most I've tried. So much so that I was able to drink it without milk. (I almost always take milk and sugar in my Earl Grey.) The taste was pleasant, certainly. I enjoyed this cup, as I'd hoped to. I think that in future cups, I'd like to try using more leaf, since I do enjoy Earl Grey with milk. I hope that, with more leaf used, the tea will be strong enough to hold up to it. And even if not, a little extra strength in a cup taken black wouldn't be amiss. Overall, I'm pleased with this tea, so far. I look forward to future experimentations with it.
