Tea Journal: Adagio's Rooibos
Mar. 12th, 2010 12:03 pmMan, this is early for me to be posting! Especially on a weekday. XD But, it's for a good reason. Time to update the tea journal~! I decided to start the morning by getting into my box from Adagio. This time, I opted to try some rooibos. As with the Earl Grey, I've been a fan of rooibos for quite a while now. So again, I'm sticking with familiar teas until I get the hang of this loose leaf stuff.
Rooibos
Vendor: Adagio
Type: Herbal tea
Amount of leaf: 3 tsp
Amount of water: Approx. 16 oz.
Water temp: Boiling
Steep time: 8 minutes
Additions: Sugar
Thoughts:
Well, this was a slightly disappointing cup. This tea seems to be rather on the mild side, so my chosen amount of leaf really wasn't enough. This resulted in a disappointingly weak cup. I think that, when I find the correct amount of leaf, the flavor will probably be good. But it's going to take some experimentation to find out the correct amount to use. I may also try extending the steep time, to see if that helps. We'll see, I suppose. Luckily, I love rooibos, so I have good incentive to experiment until I get it right! =)
...And now, it's time for breakfast. Ja~!
