Bit of a Close Call
Well, I had a bit of a scare today; I thought I'd fried my computer.
Weird thing is, I didn't really do anything. Just plugged my iPod in, so I could add some more music to it. As soon as I plugged the cable into the USB port, my machine shuts itself off. And refused to turn back on. O_O I didn't know what to do with it, and I had to go to work anyway, so I left a note for my dad to look at it.
I figured that I'd fried my power supply, at least. Was afraid I might have fried my HD, too. Imagine my surprise when I get home from work and Mom says, "Dad fixed your computer." I turn it on and, sure enough, it boots up just like normal. So, I go and ask Dad. Turns out all he had to do was reset my power supply, and it turned on just fine. I was so relieved! ^_^
Also, I must gush a bit about my current favorite fic,
sky_dark's TARM:SET. Parts 15 and 16 are now up. Things are getting a bit harsher now;
sky_dark has a real mastery of writing real, compellling emotion. She really makes you feel for these characters, and what they're going through. We're all waiting anxiously for the next installment. ^_^
